Carey Mulligan In Preen – 2010 BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards

When I saw Carey Mulligan on the red carpet at the 2010 BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards I thought finally a youthful, fresh, interesting look.
Carey has long been dressing as if she’s much older, thus making it hard for many of us to relate to her or like her style.
Last night she became the first actress to wear a look from the recent Preen Spring 2011 collection.
I love this look.
I would even go as far as saying her stone textured beaded sleeveless top and black A line skirt look better on Carey than the model.
Does Carey read my blog?
Because she wore an electric blue pair of YSL Palais pumps when black pumps would’ve been the most obvious-safest choice.
Either way I’m liking this new direction.
Sleek hair and flawless make-up completed her look.

She’s the first celeb to wear a look from Christian Siriano’s Spring 2011 collection.
Her strapless white silk chiffon gathered dress is exquisite.
Christian continues to prove what a truly talented designer he is.
Rosario added Brian Atwood nude heels and a Jimmy Choo ‘Lisa’ clutch.

Marion Cotillard In Elie Saab – 2010 BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards

The 2010 BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards took place last night with many of our favourite stars hitting the red carpet.
As fashion lovers we are still in trying to get over Marion Cotillard’s previous red carpet look, but she made an improvement last night.
The French actress proved that it was a one-off by dazzling on the red carpet wearing an Elie Saab dress.
Her shimmering powder blue dress with a draped sleeve was paired with Carla Amorim jewels, black Jimmy Choo ‘Neptune’ sandals and a black clutch.
I like the dress, love the red lippie but I’m not fond of the accessories.
We know Marion’s can do better, but I do like how she showed off a bit of her personality with a quirky quiff updo.

Dakota Fanning In Valentino Couture – 2010 BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards

Dakota Fanning went for a simple effortless look at the 2010 BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards last night.
The young actress wore a romantic Valentino Fall 2010 Couture gown which surprisingly doesn’t overwhelm her.
Her blush strapless gown isn’t grand or over the top, it’s very appropriate for a young star like Dakota who doesn’t want to got the Miley Cyrus route on the red carpet.
My only problem with this look is her hair as it looks like she just rolled out of bed.
Dakota never really does much with her hair, so I think a new style is long overdue.
At this point I would get over excited about a ponytail.

Anne Hathaway In Antonio Berardi – “Love & Other Drugs” Opening Night Gala

Anne Hathaway was joined on the red carpet by her co-star Jake Gyllenhaal at the world premiere of their new movie, “Love and Other Drugs” at AFI Fest 2010 in Hollywood last night.
The beautiful actress was alluring wearing an Antonio Berardi dress.
Her white short sleeved dress with cream lace front panels and draped detail from the waist was paired with nude Sergio Rossi pumps.
Anne can do no wrong in my eyes.
The dress shows off her gorgeous figure, her hair is teased into gentle curls and those luscious lips are volumized with a lip gloss.
Is Anne worthy of a BDOTW spot?

Blake Lively At The Realm Boutique Opening

For a long while I’ve been telling you guys that Blake Lively doesn’t have a stylist.
Some of you don’t believe this to be true, but you may change your mind when you see Blake on red carpet at the Realm Boutique Opening in New York City last night.
No self respecting stylist would ever allow Blake to leave the house looking this bad.
The ‘Gossip Girl’ actress wore a blue oversized man’s shirt with a black sparkling high-waisted skirt.
It gets worse.
She accessorized with a tan belt and black ankle boots.
Individually the pieces aren’t too bad, but together this is an epic failure.
The worse thing about this look is that the blouse peeking over her skirt is so clearly deliberate.
The tragic thing is that Blake thinks this is fashion forward.
The sad thing is that she thinks she looks amazing.

Rihanna In Zambesi & Kos – Westfield Shopping Center

Following her performance on X Factor last weekend, Rihanna is still in London, so she took helped turn on the Christmas lights at Westfield Shopping Center yesterday afternoon.
The singer wore grey Zambesi bustier with a flame red Kos skirt to match her hair and Christian Louboutin Big Lips heels.
I may look back and regret this, but I have to admit I find myself really liking this look.
It’s cute, colour co-ordinated and not obnoxious.
I even like the cute polka-dot headband.
Does anyone share my feelings about this look?
